It was 2020 — the world was locked down and I was 2 months away from giving birth to my second child, sleeping in a living room, using someone else's kitchen, and had just lost my job. I knew I needed to provide for my family.
Scrolling through social media one night took me back to high school — when I used to sell Mexican snacks to help my family make ends meet. That memory hit different.
On a Friday night over Memorial Weekend, I drove to the store, grabbed every Mexican ingredient I could find, and called the one person I could count on. He told me to run with it — so I did.
48 hours without sleep. Recipe after recipe until something tasted right, looked right, felt right. Family gave their feedback. I mastered the final recipe. The rest was history.
The name? We were going to be the Greatest Of All Time. The tracksuit our goat mascot wears? That's a nod to Whittier, CA — the city where the chamoy was born.
